The 1177 Vårdguiden website has good information about breastfeeding and alternatives to breastfeeding. They write this about not being able or willing to breastfeed:
‘Sometimes breastfeeding does not work and sometimes it is never an option. The baby is then given expressed breast milk or formula instead. It’s important not to feel guilty or ashamed if you can’t or won’t breastfeed. How good a parent you are has nothing to do with whether you breastfeed or not. It is more important that you and your baby feel good together.”
